Nomad challenge the long dark8/25/2023 The city of Krakow is home to about 780,000 people, with approximately 1.4 million additional people living in the adjacent towns. Cited as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, its Old Town was declared the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in the world. The city dates back to the 7th century and it is the oldest and second largest city in Poland Kraków was the medieval capital of Poland until 1596 and has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Polish academic, economic, cultural, artistic life and is one the main economic hubs in the country. Poland is the jewel in the crown of central-eastern Europe and Krakow is one of the most beautiful and fascinating medieval cities in Europe.
